The goal
Dustin, mural artist and founder of Muramatics, reached out with a really awesome project. The goal was to showcase awesome people in the Lansing, MI community. He needed a hand capturing reference images for massive murals and well as a great space to film some interviews with the folks that would be showcased in the mural!
Photo day
The family came in and got comfortable in our studio space and got to know the crew. What a fun group! We took photos of individual portraits as well as couples, brothers, and a variety of other options. The images turned out great and we had tons of reference material for Dustin to shape into the murals!
Painting a mural!
Dustin let us know he was making some real progress on one of the murals. We got to hang out and see the process as he mentored a couple of young people and teaching them the ropes. We grabbed a few portraits of him with the mural as a backdrop. The safety harness and paint covered clothes were a great aesthetic for the portraits!
It was such a cool project and we look forward to the next time we work with Muralmatics!
